Recruiting respondents
Website prompts
Targeted cards on specific pages of your site: shown once per browser, on the paths you choose.
Website prompts are small cards that appear on chosen pages of a connected website, inviting visitors into your study at the right moment: a pricing-page prompt asks about pricing while the visitor is actually weighing it. They are configured per study on the In-product prompt card of the Recruit tab.
Creating a prompt
- Connect and verify your website on the Integrations page (its snippet must be installed).
- On the study's Recruit tab, click New prompt on the In-product prompt card.
- Pick the Website, give the prompt an internal Prompt name, a visitor-facing Title (for example "Got 2 minutes?"), an optional Message, and a Button label (for example "Take the survey").
- Choose how the button opens the survey: In popover (an overlay on the page) or New tab.
- Choose the Position: Bottom right or Bottom left.
- Optionally set Only on path to limit where it appears.
Path patterns
- Leave the path empty to show the prompt on every page of the site.
- An exact path like
/pricingmatches only that page (trailing slashes are ignored). - End with
*for a prefix match:/docs/*matches/docs/setup,/docs/api, and so on./pricing/*covers every page under pricing.
Show once per browser
Each prompt appears once per browser. After a visitor sees it, a marker is stored in their browser and that prompt stays hidden for them, even across visits. Clearing site data resets the marker. Prompts only serve while the study is live.
