Studies
Draft, live, and closed
Studies move from draft (editable, not accepting responses) to live (collecting) to closed.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Draft | The default state. Edit everything freely. The share link exists but shows respondents "This survey isn't available." until you go live. |
| Live | Publicly accepting responses. Results, themes, and alerts are active. |
| Closed | The link stops accepting responses. All results remain available. |
Change status with Go live on a draft, or the status dropdown on the study page (Draft, Live, Closed). You can reopen a closed study by setting it back to live.
Test drive before going live
Use Test drive on the study page to open a special test link. It works even while the study is a draft, skips the one-response-per-device limit, and flags everything you submit as test data, so your dry runs never pollute results, themes, or Slack alerts.
Avoid editing questions after going live. Changing anchors mid-study makes results harder to compare across respondents.
