Connected websites and verification
Register a site, install its snippet, and Candor verifies it on the first page load.
Website prompts serve only on sites you have connected. In the Connected websites section of the Integrations page, add a site with its name and URL (for example https://www.example.com). Candor generates a one-line snippet that loads .../api/prompt.js.
- Add the website on the Integrations page.
- Copy its snippet and paste it before the closing
</body>tag on your site. - Load any page of your site. The first time the snippet phones home from your domain, the site flips from Waiting for snippet to Verified.
Verification checks that the request really comes from the registered domain, so the snippet must be installed on the same origin you entered when connecting the site.
